Hi all, garage roof collapsed due to 2+feet of snow, burried my moto guzzi, rotovator generator, powerwasher & other trivia but both OSSAs survived relatively unscathed entry in for Beamish Best to you all clock is ticking September looms

I would like to meet Dennis Skelton, I'm only down the road in Hereford, also have a Cheney.
I would very much like to compete this year, so I hope by writing this, I will be on the mailing list.

What Andy is too modest to say is that he won the Post Vintage award at this year's Felix Burke! Like Andy, I enjoy VMCC events that offer a bit of a challenge, and yes, the Felix Burke is a great event. The White Horse Trial, run by the West Wilts section, used to include even better green lanes but they changed the format this year and we just had a couple of bits of the Fosse Way to play on. But, Andy, the Beamish is better than any of them! I came up for the first time this year and enjoyed it so much that I reckon it's even better than the Arbuthnot (and you don't have to get an A-C.U. licence as it's sensibly held under an AMCA permit). It used to clash with the Arbuthnot which is why I'd not done it before, something I now bitterly regret. Don't be put off by the journey - it'll be worth every mile, believe me! I didn't see the MCN coverage - I don't think I've bought that since CQ handed over the editorship - is it on the internet anywhere? Best wishes - Dick. (Can't wait until next year!)

Hi! Just found your site (prompted by the recent MCN article). The event looks wonderful; just the sort of traditional but testing event that I'd like to take part in. As a VMCC member, I've had a lot of fun over the last few years with the Felix Burke Road Trial, organised by the Cotswold Section. The only 'fly in the ointment', re the Beamish, is the distance from where I live, in the West Midlands. However, I do know someone in Newcastle on Tyne who should be able to put me up for the night before...

What I really want to say is this: Well done for continuing to run the event and can I be put on your mailing list please, for regs next year? My address is:
Andy Briggs, 38 George Road, OLDBURY, B68 9LH.

Many thanks,
Andy.
