I have just taken a call from one of the farmers along the route for the Beamish trials. Apparently some gates were left open and sheep got out. The farmer said that in future these gates will be padlocked.
Could someone from the trials organisers please call 07903623029 perhaps to apologise and or make alterations to the route for next time

You should have no difficulty with the Beamish if you've coped with the MCC trials. In fact it should be quite a bit easier as no night run and much shorter route (c.110 miles)
Hills are quite similar style to MCC, possible even on road tyres and generally not much swampy going, mainly rocks.
Super country, well organised and a great day out.
Note this year's date has just been changed to Sunday 16th September.
Good luck!

I am a VMCC member with a Matchless G11 twin that I have fought round the three MCC classic trials (Exeter, Lands End and Edinburgh. ) Will I survive this event.? Regards, Mark

Another excellent Beamish on Sunday, many thanks as usual to the willing team of organisers and marshals. New tulip route card saved a lot of hunting the text to find the next instruction - a good idea. More than slightly damp towards the end for some of us who like to stand around talking instead of racing to the finish but it didn't spoil what is always the best event of the year.
